Who we are
Our website address is: https://oneapplefall.com. For any question about this policy or your personal data, email us at oneapplefall@gmail.com.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact form and newsletter
If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject and message so we can reply to you. Messages are delivered to our email inbox and are not used for marketing.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address and the date you subscribed so we can send you updates. To unsubscribe or have your address deleted, email us at oneapplefall@gmail.com and we will remove it.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Cookie consent
When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept, reject or customise non-essential cookies, including advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings button shown on every page. If you reject advertising cookies, ads may still appear but will not be personalised.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland also see a consent message from Google, a Google-certified consent management platform that uses the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. It lets you consent, refuse, or choose which purposes and advertising partners may use your data, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time through the privacy and cookie settings link it provides.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Games and analytics
Our games, Cluword and APEX RUSH, save your game progress, settings and statistics in your own browser (local storage). This information stays on your device; we do not receive it.
Our game pages use Google Analytics to count visits and understand how the game is used. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, your device and browser type, and your approximate location. We use this only in aggregate to improve the game, not to identify you. Google explains how it uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Al-Qalam calligraphy tool
Our Al-Qalam calligraphy tool runs in your browser. Your designs, settings and saved spellings are stored in your browser (local storage) and are not sent to us.
When you ask the tool to convert or translate text (for example Hinglish to Urdu, or English to Arabic), it sends that text to Google’s input and translation services, which return the converted text. Please do not type personal or confidential information you would not want sent to Google. Google describes how it handles data in its privacy policy. The tool page also uses Google Analytics, as described above.
AI Medical Bill Checker (ClaimClarity)
Our AI Medical Bill Checker reads bills, insurance statements and letters in your browser; its bill checks, document reading and letter templates do not send your documents to us. If you choose its AI review, the tool first shows you the exact text it will send, lets you remove details, and asks for your consent. That text is then sent to our server and passed to Anthropic, which provides the Claude AI model, to generate the review or draft. We do not store your case text; our server keeps only anonymous request counters (with hashed IP addresses) to enforce daily usage limits, and a brief error log that contains no case text. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, data sent through its API is not used to train its models and is retained for a limited period (standard retention is 30 days). The tool page itself carries no advertising or analytics scripts and sets only a security cookie needed for the AI feature. The tool is not a HIPAA-covered service.
Other AI tools
Our AI Image Upscaler, AI Background Remover, AI Video Transcriber, PDF to Word and PDF to Excel tools process your files entirely in your browser: images, recordings and documents you open in them are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. To run, your browser downloads the tools’ code and AI models from content-delivery services (jsDelivr and Hugging Face), which, like any website, receive your IP address when it does. These pages also use Google Analytics and Google AdSense, as described in this policy.
Advertising and advertising cookies
OneAppleFall uses Google AdSense to display advertising. Advertising helps keep the site free to read.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or to other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- When ads are served, Google and other third parties may place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons and your IP address, to collect information such as which ads were shown, whether they were clicked, and your approximate location. Google explains how it uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and how it uses cookies in advertising at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
- Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- Users may opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at optout.aboutads.info or, in Europe, at youronlinechoices.eu. If you opt out, you may still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
If we work with advertising vendors or ad networks other than Google, we will name them in this section together with their opt-out information.
Affiliate links and paid placements
Some links on this site are affiliate links, and some placements are paid for by the vendor. Both are labelled where they appear. Following an affiliate link may set a cookie belonging to the merchant or its affiliate network, which is used to attribute any resulting purchase to this site. We do not receive personally identifying information about you from those networks. How commercial relationships affect our editorial decisions is described on our research methodology page.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only with the services that run this site:
- Google (AdSense): advertising, as described in the advertising section above.
- Google (Analytics): visit statistics for our game and tool pages, as described above.
- Google (Input Tools and Translate): text you ask the Al-Qalam tool to convert or translate.
- CookieYes: to record your cookie choices.
- Akismet (by Automattic): to check comments for spam.
- Our hosting and caching providers: to deliver the website securely.
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry. Newsletter email addresses are kept until you ask us to remove them.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
To make a request about your data, email us at oneapplefall@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through Akismet, an automated spam detection service operated by Automattic. Akismet’s privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/.
Shop purchases
When you buy from the OneAppleFall shop, the products are sold by Cielariq Global LLC. Payment is handled by Stripe, which collects your card or wallet details directly under Stripe’s privacy policy; we never receive your full card number.
From each order we keep your name, email address, the products you bought, the amount, the order date, a Stripe payment reference and how many times each file was downloaded. We use this to deliver your files, send your download links, provide support and refunds, prevent fraud, and keep business and tax records. We keep order records for as long as needed for these purposes and for accounting and tax requirements (typically up to seven years). We don’t use your purchase email for marketing unless you separately subscribe. To ask about your data, use our contact page.
The shop pages do not show ads.
On-device AI (CareerPilot and optional AI features)
CareerPilot and the optional AI features in our video transcriber and gift finder run open Qwen3 language models (Qwen3-4B in CareerPilot, the lighter Qwen3-1.7B elsewhere) inside your own browser using WebLLM. The text you enter or upload is processed on your device and is not sent to OneAppleFall or to any AI provider. Nothing is downloaded until you choose to enable the AI.
When you enable it, your browser downloads the model files from Hugging Face and the model runtime from GitHub (MLC). Like any download, those services receive standard request information such as your IP address, but not your text. Your browser stores the model files so they don’t need to be downloaded again; you can remove them by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. CareerPilot saves your source documents in your browser only if you click Save.
